Lets Play One Love African-America...

9/11 - We will Never Forget! Letter by an Australian: “To Kill an American”

Written by an Australian Dentist….and too good to not share with the world….
(Pictures inserted in post are taken by a variety of artists in honor of our heroes who went IN when everyone else - went OUT.)

To Kill an American

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is. So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan; the only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world.

The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.

When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, 2001, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.

Americans welcome the best of everything…the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least.

The national symbol of America, the Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America.

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers on the morning of September 11, 2001, earning a better life for their families.

It’s been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world.

But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Keep this letter going!
Send this post around the World.
Then pass it around again.
It says it all, for all of us.

And to all those serving…
We Salute You!
And - We THANK YOU!!!

The Secret Of Life

The Secret Of Life

 As the Lord God was
creating  the world
he called upon his archangels.

The Lord asked his archangels
to help him decide where to put
the Secret of Life

"Bury it in the ground," one angel replied.
"Put it on the bottom of the sea," said another.
"Hide it in the mountains," another suggested.

The Lord replied, "If I see to do any of those
only a few will find the Secret of Life.
The Secret of Life must be accessible
to EVERYONE!"

One angel replied, "I know; put it in each
man's heart. Nobody will think to look there."

 "Yes!" said the Lord.
"Within each man's heart."

And so it was -
The SECRET OF LIFE
lies within all of us.

Inner Peace Philosophy
How Deliberate Creators Propagate Peace

 1. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you feel guided to take your focus off the external world. Deliberate Creators know that we are, at all moments, creating our future. Some of us are doing this creating 'deliberately' while others, by getting caught up in the swirl of events that surround us, are doing this creation 'by default'.

Which do you choose: to create deliberately or by default?

 2.  You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
in relationship with others, you strive to bring the focus to areas of harmony and agreement instead of conflict and discord. Deliberate Creators appreciate that what we resist, persists, and therefore make thoughtful determinations of where attention should be placed.

Which relationships in your life could benefit from a short time spent focusing on areas of agreement?

 3. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you let go of the idea that you can only feel peaceful when everything around you is going a certain way and instead, recognize that you have the power within you to choose to experience peace.

Who (or what) have you allowed to destroy your sense of peace - and how can you reclaim it?

 4. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you notice that, when someone 'pushes your buttons', instead of expending your energy trying to get the other person to change, you search inside yourself and ask, 'what happened inside me that led me to react that way to you?'  Whenever we feel a painful emotion (anger, resentment, jealousy, fear, depression, desire for vengeance, grief) this simply means that someone has activated one of our wounds and a powerful opportunity for healing lies right in front of us.

The next time you find that your 'buttons' have been pushed, where will you focus your attention -- inward or outward?

 5. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you find yourself put off by anti-war demonstrations and the notion of judging and condemning the players in a dispute. Deliberate Creators understand that we cannot be engaged in a battle and be a source for peace at the same time.

Where are you investing your energy -- in a battle against war or in a commitment to peace?

 6. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you find yourself focusing on what you are wanting instead of what you are not wanting. Deliberate Creators recognize that what we focus on expands and they give careful thought as to what they want to have expand in their lives.

What in the world would you like to see expand?

 7. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
instead of praying for an outside force to bring peace to others, you commit to being one who radiates peace from within.

Are you ready to become a source of Peace?

Heaven and Hell, The Real Difference

Written By Ann Landers

Heaven and Hell, The Real Difference

A man spoke with the Lord
about heaven and hell.

The Lord said to the man,
"Come, I will show you hell."

They entered a room where a group of
people sat around a huge pot of stew.
Everyone was famished,
desperate and starving.

Each held a spoon that reached the pot,
but each spoon had a handle so much
longer than their own arm that it could not
be used to get the stew into their own mouths.

The suffering was terrible.

"Come, now I will show you heaven,"
the Lord said after a while.

They entered another room, identical to the first -
the pot of stew, the group of people, the same long-handled spoons.
But there everyone was happy and well-nourished.

"I don't understand," said the man.
"Why are they happy here when they were miserable
in the other room and everything was the same?"

The Lord smiled.
"Ah, it is simple," he said. "Here they have learned to feed each other."

Risking

Risking
Patty Hansen

Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile soil.

The first seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me ... I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring ... I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!"

And so she grew...

The second seed said, "I am afraid. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts ... what if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe."

And so she waited...

A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.

Moral of the Story   ...   Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life.

                                                            Redefining Human

Redefining Human

How often do you say or hear other people say “Well, we’re human..” or “That’s just what people do.” as justification for certain behaviours? Do you ever question such comments?

Today is a day to evaluate and, perhaps, readjust your personal definition of being human.

You are an amazing creature. You can be whatever you want to be. The only things that can stop you are your own beliefs about yourself and that is not intended in a corny, self-help sort of way.

For example, you may have heard the claim that we are not meant to be with one person for our entire lives and it’s not logical to expect someone to be faithful forever. That is their belief and their choice. And yet, there are those who do fall in love once and make it last a lifetime. That is their belief and their choice.

You may have heard someone justify another’s violent outburst by claiming, “They’re human. Anyone would be angry in that situation.” And yet, there are those who are able to remain peaceful and in control of themselves at all times.

Are those people not human? Of course they are! But they have a different perception of what it means to be human.

Challenge your definition of humanity today.

... Does this definition allow you to become the greatest version of yourself?

... Does it make you proud to be a member of this species?

Before you go to sleep tonight, create a new definition of yourself, what you want to be and believe, however grand it may seem.

Have a human day!

IT A CHANGED WORLD WE LIVING

Peace Be With You

Was a really beautiful day to start with yesterday. The weather was nice, perfect blue sky with beautiful and amazing clouds. We cycled to Fu Chun Community Club, just opposite Metta Home. There, I was again surprised with happiness at the sight of two 'coo-coo' birds/ peaceful dove/ turtle dove whatever the name. The photograph showed the birds. It was 'my bird', once my pet...

I used to buy seeds for my 'coo-coo' bird to eat -- white seeds, red seeds or mixture. It costs about S$0.50. The 'coo-coo' bird often called 'croo-croo' and my father also imitated it. My father knows how to make the sand of the 'croo-croo' using his hands. I never know how. This was such a RARE sight, it was my FIRST TIME seeing turtle doves in public places. All peaceful doves which I seen were in cages or at bird parks. In nature, we often see myna and pigeons most frequently.

The last time I saw the peaceful dove was at my house, one flying and one perching outside my house. This is the third time I see the peaceful dove. But this time it was a pair.

In the church, people are kneeling down to pray. I was busy taking photographs, 'exploring the place'. There are always so much to see. After I had finished taking photographs, I stood in front of this statue of Mary and prayed. After I had finished praying, I went forward to the statue. I was searching for something. Then I found in front of my eyes was a spider that crawled up. This is amazing. The spider was black and white, with the hands white and it was like doing the sign of praying (the chinese called it Bai4 -- 拜拜). After that, it continues to crawl up the clothes. This is another different type of spider species I had seen, different from the one I had seen at St Joseph's Church.

People used to say that when people died, they become butterflies. This must be really true. I saw so many butterflies yesterday, of different colours and sizes.

While the children were attending catechism class, I had nothing to do, but walked around. It was such a special day, I walked and walked and met Yang Yang the church dog. He was coming out of 'Ghost Town' (my children told me the place was called Ghost Town, the place behind the Columbarium).

I explored and explored and I really came to the Columbarium, the first time also.

Too many things to be shown all at one time, too much great findings all in a day. I also saw one beautiful strange bird (white and black, not pigeon), flying in front of me. During the evening, I saw the Canon ball trees flowers, I saw Star tortoise and I saw my favourite cat, and had a wonderful dinner. There is only one song to sum up everything... Come let us adore him... Christ the king.

The moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed.

"Twin souls are vibrations (individuals) that have been together in one expression and then split into two expressions. This way they may gain greater experiences and explore more aspects of creativity. They are like one being. It is a wonderful experience when twin souls meet again."
